You can now make unlimited calls to the Philippines for a fixed monthly rate, from Japan. Most of OOPA's services are one-way calling - meaning, you will be the only person who can call your family in the Philippines.

OOPA has various types of services to call the Philippines. They are:

  1. Tipid Wireless allows the recipient of your call to use a mobile phone.
  2. Tipid Landline allows the recipient of your call to use their existing landline phone.
  3. And Tipid Telebabox allows the recipient of your call to use an internet phone adaptor in the Philippines.

We are highlighting Tipid Wireless below since this is the most used service, however, the other services can be used as well.

How does it work?
In the Philippines, we issue a SIM card to your family in the Philippines. See diagram.

In Japan, you can use several methods to call. You can use a dedicated Japan number (available for Tokyo and Osaka only), an internet phone adaptor, your laptop of PC, or your smart phone.

With any of the methods above, you will dial the assigned number given to you by OOPA then it will directly connect the call to the SIM card with your family in the Philippines.

Can I call anyone in the Philippines?
No. You can only call the SIM card that we issued to your family in the Philippines.

What if I call several people?
You can have up to 3 separate recipients in the Philippines. Each recipient will receive 3 separate SIM cards. Each one will be assigned a dedicated number for you to call so you can call each one.

Can my recipient go anywhere in the Philippines and still receive my call?
NO. Your call is only good within the area code for which you signed up for. For example, you signed up for a service in Pampanga. If your recipient goes to Olongapo or Manila, your service will not work because it is a different area code. The recipient has to be in the area code (provided there is a cell signal) for which you signed up for. Another example would be for Cebu, if your recipient resides in Cebu, he/she can go all around the Cebu island (provided there is a cell signal) and receive your call. Once your recipient goes to Bohol, Negros, or another island, your service will not work.
